Advanced Inclusive Leadership
This programme is for leaders who are expected to become Ambassadors for Equity & Inclusion within an organisation.
Course summary
Aimed at managers who want to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to reach the next level, this programme will challenge archaic management processes and address stereotypical beliefs and prejudices.
Leaders and managers in all sizes of organisations will learn strategies for creating a diverse, inclusive and modern culture as well as analysing difficult subjects such as imposter syndrome and dealing with rage.
Motivational theories to increase recognition and advancement of minorities within an organisation are also addressed.

Module One:
Creating a Diverse, Inclusive and Modern Culture in an Organisation
■ How to create and promote a diverse and inclusive
organisation
■ Measure the value of and apply diversity within teams
■ Use Maslow’s model to explore psychological safety
within the team
■ Identify how our stereotypes influence talent
management, including selection and succession
planning
■ Use Herzberg’s motivation factors to look at
recognition, advancement and achievement of
minorities within our departments
■ Explore the patriarchal culture in organisations
■ Define cultural intelligence and its value in building
resilience.
Module Two:
Operational Management in a Diverse World
■ Examine our own stereotypes and how they affect our
life scripts
■ Recognise and overcome barriers to our own
advancement
■ Explore imposter syndrome and identify whether it
applies to us or someone we manage
■ Influence and negotiate with our leadership teams
■ Manage relationships with the powerful at work
■ Know what to do when there’s no-one else like us in
the room
■ Expand and use relationships at work to ensure we are
included
■ Deal with a prejudiced co-worker or manager
■ Describe the differences between assertive, passive,
aggressive and passive aggressive communication
■ Identify how to manage and deal with activism and
rage at work.

On completion, successful learners would be able to take forward their experiences and influence colleagues and teams to promote diversity and inclusion within their
organisation. This will strengthen succession planning and support in creating an organisational culture with an emphasis on empowerment.
